CWU Industrial Action Cancelled

Royal Mail has announced that industrial action planned to take place both today and Monday has been cancelled. This is obviously great news as Royal Mail plays an integral part in the smooth running of our mail forwarding services.

This announcement couldn’t come at a better time considering the festive period we are about to enter. Continued strikes would be disastrous in the lead up to Christmas for both businesses and consumers what with our reliance upon internet shopping.

The Communication Workers Union state that the “interim agreement will provide a period of calm for the CWU and Royal Mail to reach a full and final agreement”. While this does not appear to end the issue completely, the fact that the two parties have come to a temporary agreement bodes well for the future.

We shall keep you updated with any news relating to future industrial action and look forward to providing our normal high standards of service.
