Company Restoration
The process of restoring a company following its dissolution by Companies House.
A company which has been dissolved can be restored by an order from the courts. It is generally recommended that professional advice be taken before embarking on a restoration.
A shareholder of a creditor of the company can ask the courts to restore a company. The time limit is twenty years after the company ceased to exist.
Persons wishing to restore a company can apply to any court which has the legal authority to dissolve the company. That same court has the means to restore the company.
The restoration of companies particularly after the passing of several years is not generally a common event.
