Chartered Accountants
An Accountants practice which is recognised and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
There are no restrictions on people calling themselves an accountant. This is different to the name Chartered Accountant who must undertake at least three years study and practical training. This training must be with a body who is recognised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants and who have been assessed by them in their skills and competence to provide such training.
In order to test the effectiveness of the training students wish to become a Chartered Accountant have to take and pass several series of tests and exams. These exams will cover areas on all aspects or finance, company auditing, organisational strategy, personal and business taxation and information technology.
