Once we receive the completed instruction form, our Company Secretarial Team will prepare and submit the resignation to Companies House. Companies House usually confirms the director’s resignation within 24 working hours.
We require the following information to resign a director:
- Full name of director
- Date of resignation
A private limited company must have at least one human (natural person) director. Although you can appoint another limited company as a director of your company, there must be at least one human director appointment as well. There is no maximum limit to how many directors a company may have prescribed by law.
Once we receive the completed instruction form, our Company Secretarial Team will invite the new director to complete a quick online ID check. After the ID check is approved, we submit the director’s details to Companies House, who will email the unique personal code directly to the new director. The director must then provide us with this code so we can file the appointment. Companies House usually confirms the new director appointment within 24 working hours.
